Videos and Audio Experimentation

Week 4. Video and Audio Experimentation.

I have not done to much with either of these mediums, though I do enjoy the end result as a method of learning.

Below is a video that I created for a university unit I did last year, it was a video of an experiment we had to do and then analyse. Its not the most inspiring video and I need to work on how I recorded it, it was on my old digital camera.

It took me a while to find the video again under my you tube account 'cycle it'. I realise I need to keep some accurate records of all the sites I have subscribed to in the last year and especially from this course, this will save me a lot of time in logging in and actually use these resources more.

It took me quite awhile to work out how to embed my video, looking through the course technical manuals helped me find how to get the URL and then embed that to the blog.

My next step is to work out how to do just an audio and upload that, what programs will be compatible to this blog or my wiki space.

Below is an animated video with audio that I made from a tool called PowToon,  The presentation is short and needs some editing in terms of syncing the movements. The clip talks about what PowToons and the advantages and disadvantages of it.
I really enjoyed how intuitive it was to use, simple yet many options, a lot of time could be spent playing with this and I think it would appeal to students.

Check out the powtoon link for more information.
